Formara has officially joined The Printing Charity, further strengthening our commitment to supporting the people behind print and the future of the industry.
As a business that’s been part of the UK print landscape for over five decades, we understand that success isn’t just measured by output or efficiency, it’s defined by the people who make it happen. From press operators and account managers to apprentices just starting out, the wellbeing and development of those in our sector has always been a priority. That’s why becoming part of The Printing Charity felt like a natural step.
For almost 200 years, The Printing Charity has played a pivotal role in supporting individuals working in print, paper, packaging, and publishing. Whether it’s mental health services, career guidance, financial assistance or emergency grants, the charity’s impact stretches far and wide, quietly transforming lives across the UK.
We were fortunate to welcome Robert Rowe, Relationship Manager at The Printing Charity, to visit Formara recently. He spent time with me, walking through the charity’s services, how it supports businesses like ours, and the positive impact it has on individuals across the sector.
We’d also like to thank Nicola Peacock for her fantastic communication and support throughout our onboarding, and to Neil Lovell, CEO of The Printing Charity, whose leadership continues to guide the organisation’s incredible work.
“Joining The Printing Charity isn’t just symbolic, it reflects our belief in the long-term value of looking after people. Print is evolving, but its heart will always be its people. We’re proud to be a part of a charity that truly understands that.” – Andy Pond
As part of our membership, we’re looking forward to supporting the charity’s work in practical ways, whether that’s through raising awareness, mentoring, or championing young talent entering the industry.
If you work in or around print and haven’t yet explored the support offered by The Printing Charity, we highly recommend you do. It’s a fantastic resource, not just in times of need, but for anyone looking to grow, develop, or simply feel part of something bigger.
