Many of you will have worked with or spoken to Barry Farmer over the years. After 20 years of dedicated service to Formara, Barry has now retired to spend well-earned time with his family.
Barry joined Formara on 9th May 2005, the day after his birthday, as a Customer Service Representative. Having previously worked in his family business, which closed due to retirement, he seamlessly transitioned into the ‘Formara Family’ and began building on his extensive knowledge of the print industry. By sharing his experience with his new colleagues and supporting management, Barry quickly demonstrated leadership qualities that led to his promotion to Customer Service Manager.
He became a favourite among customers and brought a sense of fun to the office, delighting colleagues (and sometimes gently annoying them) with his daft songs, some of which have become embedded in Formara folklore!
Over the past three years, Barry has become a grandfather three times over. This joyous milestone played a key role in his decision to retire early, well before the traditional retirement age. Everyone at Formara wishes Barry and his wife, Barbara, a happy and healthy retirement.
Stepping into Barry’s role as Customer Service Manager is our very own Neil Foster, who brings an impressive 37 years of experience at Formara. Outside of work, Neil is well known for coaching cricket and football and is looking forward to leading the customer service team into the next chapter of his career. We wish him every success.
